Giuseppe Distefano began his career at Morgan Guaranty Trust in Milan. He spent the first part of his career managing trading and debt capital markets operations, mainly at Banca IMI (today Intesa Sanpaolo Group). He was a Director of the International Capital Market Association and of some predecessors associations. For fifteen years, he ran a UCITS fund he founded. At present, other than advising on corporate matters, he holds various directorship roles including being an Independent Director and Chairman of the Audit, Risk, Sustainability and Compliance Committee of Intesa Sanpaolo Wealth Management Luxembourg. In 2026, he was appointed Member of the Board of Directors, Vice-Chairman of the Audit and Risk Committee, and Member of the Remuneration & Governance Committee for REYL Intesa Sanpaolo.
